David Brady Productions came into existence in February of 1979, while David was a graduate student in Communications at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. Initially operating out of Vancouver, David produced several successful theatrical feature films. He then went on to spend eight years producing movies out of Los Angeles and New York.
In 1987, David moved back to Canada and his old hometown of Toronto to get married and raise a family. His focus shifted away from features to television series - both dramatic and documentary.
David returned to movies as one of the executive producers of the Disney Channel movie You Wish, in 2003 with his old friend and associate from Los Angeles, Alan Sacks. The movie was nominated July of 2003 for the prestigious Humanitis Award.
In addition to producing, David also enjoys writing, teaching and motivational speaking. He was on the faculties of both York University and Ryerson University, where he was the recipient of the CESAR teaching award. David shares his experiences of overcoming adversity, both financial and emotional, in various motivational speaking engagements.
David divides his time between his office in South Eastern Ontario, overlooking the Bay of Quinte -across from upstate New York- and his office in Sherman Oaks, California.
